  Paimio Sanatorium is a former tuberculosis sanatorium in Paimio, Finland Proper, designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. The building was completed in 1932, and soon after received critical acclaim both in Finland and abroad. The building served exclusively as a tuberculosis sanatorium until the early 1960s, when it was converted into a general hospital. Today the building is part of the Turku University Hospital. The sanatorium was nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  Sähkötalo (lit. Electricity Building) is the name of the building located in downtown Helsinki, in Kamppi, that serves as the headquarters of Helsingin Energia. The building was designed by Alvar Aalto. Construction on the building started in March, 1970, and was ready to be moved in on January 22, 1973. Since October 2007, the bottom floors of the building have been home to stores accessible from Kamppi Center by an underground pedestrian tunnel running underneath Fredrikinkatu. The windowframes of the building are lined with neon lights that slowly change color throughout the night.

  The Säynätsalo Town Hall is a multifunction building complex – town hall, shops, library and flats – designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto for the municipality of Säynätsalo (merged with the municipality of Jyväskylä in 1993) in Central Finland. Aalto received the commission after a design contest in 1949, and the building was completed in December 1951.
